1) Why do you charge a $5.95 delivery fee?
Most people aren't aware that pizza stores or other delivery services actually DO charge a delivery fee ranging anywhere from $.25-$3.50 (Pizza Hut charges $2.00 but we bet you don't know that :) We're brining you fantastic food that has never before been available for home delivery AND a library of movies to rent/buy from!
We also do not upcharge the prices as given to us by the restaurant, unlike most restaurant delivery companies.
There are several things involved in getting your meals delivered to you fast, hot and fresh:
Dinner-and-a-Movie.com uses order processing software that we wrote and maintain that helps us track and manage all food and DVD orders.
Our computer systems, expensive electric food bags, cell phones, GPS units and PDAs, along with fully itemized receipts, all work in unison to ensure you receive your meal as fast as possible and in the best condition.
PLUS, we are a pretty cheap restaurant delivery service compared to others around the country, and remember, with us you have access to DVD rentals and DVDs for sale that are delivered with your food!! Our guess is anyone else would charge you $10 or $12 for this service based on what we've seen, so $5.95 is a mind-boggling deal!
2) Why are driver tips not included, and how much should I tip the driver?
Driver tips are completely separate from our service/delivery charge of $4.95. We charge a service/delivery fee for providing you with our convenient service of not having to go to the video store or going to a restaurant to enjoy your favorite food. Normally people tip as they would if dining at a restaurant (15-20%) because in essence, the driver is acting as a waiter.
They go to extensive measures to ensure your meal is complete; they check, pack, carry, drive and locate you as fast and as carefully as possible. They use their own vehicles and gasoline. Please consider the efforts of your driver.
3) What is the estimated delivery time?
Delivery times can vary from 40 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on how busy we are. Since each item is specially prepared to your order, delivery normally takes about an hour. From time to time, orders may take a little longer due to a multitude of reasons, such as larger orders, busy restaurant kitchens, and traffic or road conditions. Customers with large delivery orders or time constraints are encouraged to place their order up to a week in advance to ensure timely delivery. To ensure the safety of our Waiter/Drivers and other drivers on the road, we don't try to guarantee delivery times, but rest assured your order will get delivered and it will be HOT!
Please keep in mind that restaurant delivery by nature takes a little longer than normal pizza delivery.
4) Do I have to order both dinner and a movie?
Not at all. We're here to serve you, so you can place an order for whatever you want. You just have to order $10.00 worth of items.
5) Is the movie delivered with the order?
Yes. If you ordered a movie (and remember, you don't have to) the DVD is delivered with your order.
6) How do I get the DVD back to dinner-and-a-movie.com?
The DVD is delivered in a self-addressed, postage paid mailer. Just put the DVD in the mailer, peel and seal it, and drop it in any mailbox.
7) Can I pay online or over the phone with a credit/debit card, cash or check?
Yes. We accept Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards. We also accept cash. Due to dishonest customers who like to bounce checks we no longer accept them.
8) Are there late fees if the mailer is not postmarked by the due date?
We're not like most video rental stores. Late fees are $1.50 per day past the postmarked due date. Once late fees reach $25.50 (17 days late), your card/account will be charged. We don't believe in charging ridiculous late fees so we feel like charging you then letting you keep the DVD is a better option. We'll even bring you the original DVD case on your next order.
9) Do you sell DVD movies?
Yes, there is a link on the movies page where you can view DVDs for sale. :)
10) Can I order from multiple restaurants?
At this time, your order cannot contain food from different restaurants, and we have no plans to offer this as of yet. The amount of coordination involved would require us to substantially increase the delivery fee and of course it would take considerably longer for you to receive your order.

14) Do you deliver anything else?
